STEAM LOCOMOTIVES MUSEUM - Resita town [Romania]

The name of Reșița might come from the Latin recitia, meaning "cold spring", as the historian Nicolae Iorga once suggested, presuming that the Romans gave this name to Resita, from a water spring on the Doman valley.
Steam Locomotives Museum Collection brings tourists and draws them through the beauty and uniqueness of the 16 steam locomotives manufactured in Resita.
The collection has also the first locomotive made in 1872 and one of the two forest locomotives made in 1925 at the former UDR (Uzinele de fier si Domeniile Resita).
